Things to do and places to visit around us. Walking in the LimousinIf you are a walker then you’ll love La Creuse. There are many footpaths and tracks allowing you to discover this beautiful department, its woods, its fields and many historical sites. Find the Dolmens and shrines scattered throughout Limousin and touch on Pilgrims Way, which runs through the local village of St Etienne De Fursac. Scallop shells on the church and brass studs in the pavement mark the way for the pilgrims to follow. |

Fishing in the LimousinThe abundance of unpolluted rivers and lakes within easy travelling distance of Marliannes, are an anglers dream, populated by trout, roach, carp, pike and sturgeon. Around La Souterraine there are several lakes offering a range of activities for all the family. L’Etang de la Chaume, (where record carp have been caught), L’Etang de la Cazine, L’Etang du Cheix, L'Etang de la Brousse and the Lac du Pont a L'Age. At L’Etang de la Chaume fishermen will enjoy 46 acres of water on full day or half day permits. Alan Cooper, owner of the Marliannes Gites, is an expert fisherman and can advise you on where to fish.
